This one-of-a-kind sculptural relief is part of the City in Puglia series — an ongoing body of unique works inspired by the architectural rhythm of southern Italy, including star-vaulted ceilings, arched terraces and sunlit rooftops overlooking the Mediterranean.

Layered forms suggest fragments of a landscape: quiet structures shaped by light, salt air and time. Rather than depicting a specific place, the composition evokes a memory — an abstract impression of Puglia, translated into a tactile, architectural surface.

Each work in the series is created as a singular composition. No variations or reproductions are made.

MATERIALS

The surface is finished with hand-applied layers of natural clay plaster, enriched with mineral pigments.
This material creates a soft, matte depth, allowing light to interact with the surface through subtle shadowing and tonal variation.

The earthy quality of the clay gives each piece a grounded, tactile presence — where texture, irregularity and nuance become essential elements of the work.

The underlying structure is constructed from lightweight materials (cardboard, building board) ensuring stability while allowing the surface to remain the primary focus.

MOUNTING
